The Millennium Forum, which first opened in August 2001, is Ireland's largest purpose-built theatre, delivering first class Drama, Musicals, Films, Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Opera, Pantomime, Classical and popular Music. In addition, there are Children's Shows and Festivals and the programme includes a mix of community entertainment, arts and cultural events throughout the year.
The building itself has also become a very exciting attraction to both individual patrons, business customers and tourists alike: from Desmond Kinney's huge mosaic situated at the main entrance to the piazza, to the East Wall Bar area, where a section of the city's walls is exposed, highlighting this modern building's proximity to Derry's rich architectural past.
The main aim of the Millennium Forum is to promote community and professional participation in the arts, reinforcing the strong cultural identity of the City, and pushing it firmly to the fore as the regional capital of the North West of Ireland. With our experienced and friendly staff, we are also continually striving to provide a first rate, efficient and professional service.
